IRS: No tax refunds for fliers, after all

The Internal Revenue Service said Friday that no fliers who flew during the past two weeks — when the Federal Aviation Administration was partially shut down — are eligible for ticket tax refunds.

Airport scanners sensitive to breast gel

According to the report in The Toronto Sun, Mrs Elizabeth Strecker went through the security scanners at Calgary Airport and told the staff she had no gels. But, she told a news agency, QMI, the staff insisted that the scanner revealed gel and, because she had not declared it, she was subject to a search. That search included showing the gel breast which she uses after a full mastectomy.
