Two men died in the crash at Kingscott, near Torrington, on 29 May 2008.

Indonesia searchers find missing Russia jet wreckage

Russian-Sukhoi-SuperjetIndonesian officials say a helicopter has spotted what is thought to be wreckage of the Russian Sukhoi Superjet plane that disappeared on Wednesday.

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 vanished from radar screens 50 minutes after taking off from Jakarta for a brief demonstration flight.

Fatal microlight crash pilot Adrian Paterson had no licence

Microlight-crashA man who died when the microlight he was flying crashed in Clackmannanshire did not have a pilot's licence, officials have confirmed.

Adrian Paterson, 49, from Clackmannan, was killed on Thursday when his aircraft plunged into a field in the nearby village of Kennet.

AAIB report: Engines fail on plane carrying parachutists

Britten-Norman IslanderBoth engines failed on an aircraft taking parachutists on a flight from Swansea Airport last summer, an air incident report has revealed.

The plane, operated by Skydive Swansea Ltd, entered cloud at 8,000ft (2,438m) when its engines iced up.

DR Congo planes to be destroyed by Fly Congo

Turkish-military-helicopter-crashA helicopter crashed into a house on the outskirts of the Afghan capital, Kabul, on Friday, killing 12 Turkish soldiers on board and two girls on the ground.
It was by far the deadliest incident involving Turkish soldiers in Afghanistan and came amid growing unease among Nato partner countries about the increasingly unpopular and costly war.
