A helicopter that ditched in the North Sea last week with 14 personnel on board had been involved in another incident just three weeks earlier.
Operator Bond said the EC225 model suffered a malfunction on its approach to Aberdeen Airport on 19 April.

Two men died in the crash at Kingscott, near Torrington, on 29 May 2008.

Indonesian officials say a helicopter has spotted what is thought to be wreckage of the Russian Sukhoi Superjet plane that disappeared on Wednesday.
The Sukhoi Superjet 100 vanished from radar screens 50 minutes after taking off from Jakarta for a brief demonstration flight.

A plane carrying 127 people has crashed in a residential area near Islamabad international airport.
Aviation officials said the Bhoja Air jet, flight BHO-213, was flying from Karachi to Islamabad when it came down in bad weather minutes from landing.

A man who died when the microlight he was flying crashed in Clackmannanshire did not have a pilot's licence, officials have confirmed.
Adrian Paterson, 49, from Clackmannan, was killed on Thursday when his aircraft plunged into a field in the nearby village of Kennet.

Bournemouth Airport has been closed after a plane's nose wheel collapsed on landing.
The aircraft, a vintage De Havilland Sea Vixen jet, blocked the runway after landing at 16:10 BST.

Both engines failed on an aircraft taking parachutists on a flight from Swansea Airport last summer, an air incident report has revealed.
The plane, operated by Skydive Swansea Ltd, entered cloud at 8,000ft (2,438m) when its engines iced up.
